This is a great basic alternative to Free Microsoft Excel Trial, but like any free tool, it carries disadvantages. One of the main disadvantages of Google Spreadsheets is that you cannot print your work, which can be damaging if you are using your spreadsheets for business related ventures. Another clear disadvantage is that graphs and charts are not makeable within this free spreadsheets, which is probably the reason why I chose to use Microsoft Excel, because I use that feature a lot.

Finally, Google Spreadsheets is very useful if you are not planning on using any graphs or charts and only need to save information and share through either RSS or web query.
